Kotaku writes: "Remember when we thought the Xbox 360 was sold out at one Japanese store? That's not all. It's sold out across the whole damn country. Like, sold out sold out. It's so sold out that Microsoft Japan actually put out an official statement about the situation in The Land of the Rising Sun, apologizing for the lack of consoles. Since demand has eclipsed supply, Microsoft's supply has gone totally dry. The company is ramping up production, and the console will not be shipped to stores until next month."

Bungie Teases Halo 3's Future

Could a full map editor be on its way to Halo?

After teasing a new game and hinting that there will be major changes to Halo 3 on it's community site on bungie.net.

In this video Bungie talks about working on a new project and then ends with the line "Wait a second, there is no way we're showing this yet." The video then zooms out to be what appears to be a full map editor. Is this what is on it's way to Halo 3?

Rumour has it that Microsoft will be making Xbox Live Gold free for everyone, Instead of the current system where people have to pay for Xbox live. But why would Microsoft do this? Maybe to compete with the PS3's current "free internet."

Advanced orders of the Gears of War 2 Lancer, which is a life-size weapon from the series, went through the roof upon availability on Amazon.

Initial sales increased 330 thousand percent on Friday night, the first day the Amazon product became available.

Madden 09 Screwed?

Recently Brett Favre has been traded to the New York Jets from the Green Bay Packers. He had previously announced that he retired. EA had put Favre on the cover of the new game Madden NFL 09 in order to honour Favre and his doings in the NFL. But since he has been traded to the Jets, EA is left with Brett Favre on the cover, with a Green Bay uniform! I don't know what EA plans to do since they have already been mass producing the game!

Netflix+Xbox?

Xbox.com has announced that the Xbox 360 will be teaming up with Netflix this coming fall. What is Netflix though? It's a site where you can rent any movie online and they will ship it to you. But what does that have to do with the Xbox? This coming fall people currently members of Netflix and Micorosft Xbox Live will be able to stream unlimited movies to there Xbox. It won't be a monthly payment either, You will pay for a yearly subscription just like Xbox live.

With a growing library of over 10,000 titles and growing will be available from Netflix when it launches. Which is now the largest on demand service on a system connected to the t.v

To watch a movie you simply add movies to the individual queues from the Netflix website which can be watched via your Xbox 360 in 30 seconds or less. Gold members of Xbox live will be able to rewind, fast forward, and pause movies with the Xbox 360 controller or the Media Remote. The Netflix and the Xbox 360 will have a highly personalized system for anyone.
